I know some of my webcomicker friends are reading, so I'm sharing this here:2 comments - Leave a comment
Paying Work for Artist:
I'm gearing up on a new project (flash game) and am looking for an artist to collaborate with. Ideally, I'm looking for somebody comfortable with vector art, but a pixel artist would likely be ok. In addition to larger splash screens I'd need animations, sprites, icons, interface buttons, etc.
The general theme will be a pixie/fairy village with magic wands, floating fairies, fairy circles, houses, workshops, various resources (wood, stone), tools, crops, forest/meadow scenery, etc.
Part what I'm looking for in a portfolio is a style suitable for the game I am working on. So fluffy, cute, cartoony in this case. This is also going to be entirely 2d graphics.
If you or somebody you know is interested, please contact me with a portfolio. You can see my previous work at http://www.kongregate.com/games/duerig/tile-factory or http://www.kongregate.com/games/duerig/shattered-colony-the-survivors
This would be a long term commitment as I'd want to release content packs even after initial shipment of the game.
If you're interested, let me know, I'll send you the guy's e-mail.
I considered the idea but ... well, my cartoony art just has never been a strong point.
